TRAINING IN ACTION

Live fire training prepares individuals and prescribed burn teams to safely and effectively apply fire to the landscape while safely meeting cultural and ecological objectives.

Safe preparation of fire ignition tools and equipment is practiced until perfect.

Experience in the forest burning hazardous fuel piles and one-on-one mentoring is key to safe burning practices.

Self protection and safety are practiced and refined using proven techniques and hands-on experience guided by veteran Fire Instructors.

Fire professionals show students effective methods and practices in realistic live fire exercises and drills.

Central Coast Rx Fire Training

Training communities, landowners, crews, and individuals to safely use fire for beneficial purposes.

Forest fire fighting fundamentals and live fire veteran mentorship in managing the heat production and speed of fire on the landscape are the safe and powerful principles applied by successful burn crews.

Safe cultural fire prescriptions can be applied year around.

Public education and understanding of the fire environment are of primary importance for support and confidence of prescribed burning in safe prescriptions.
